Motorcycle Seat
While it isn’t the most important part of a bike, the motorcycle seat is definitely one part that is at the forefront of your mind when you are riding. If your seat is uncomfortable or inappropriate for what you are doing, riding your motorcycle will not be the pleasurable experience that it should be. Take a good look at the seat you have, and determine whether you need to switch it out for something different.
There are many types of motorcycle seats, so before you start shopping you need to narrow down the categories. Start with the type of motorcycle that you have. Obviously, a seat for a cruiser is going to be very different from a seat for a bullet bike, and you will probably have to go to different stores for each type of bike. Then you need to decide what you are going to be doing on your bike.
If you have a racing bike, you need a motorcycle seat that will give you the optimum posture for speed and control. These aren’t likely to be very “comfortable,” but you also probably won’t be spending a lot of time on your motorcycle without breaks. On the other hand, if you have a cruiser and are planning on taking a lot of trips on it, you need to make sure you get a motorcycle seat that is comfortable and that you can sit on for hours without getting up.
Figure out what you need to be looking for, and then do some shopping around to make sure that you get the perfect seat for your motorcycle.
